Step 1 - Pick a Terrorible Color Scheme

I wouldn’t be caught undead without a good color palette to create a map. For this “Map-o-lantern¨ I used paletton.com to help create a color scheme.

Step 2 - Create a Map

This evil experiment also requires a map. I used mapstack.stamen.com to generate my basemap.

Step 3 - Find a Stencil

Any-o-lantern worth it’s weight in ghoul’d depends on a hallowed stencil. I found this ghostly stencil over at halloweenclipart.com.

Step 4 - (Optional) Make it Groan

If you’ve got the guts to carve out extra punishment, don’t forget to lurk around in search of a good pun.

Step 5 - Bring Out Your Inner Frankenstein

You can sew together your little monster using your favorite image editing software. I used pixlr.com to bring my map to life. I’ll skip the gory details¨ but the Wand tool...
