Geographic Information Services, Incorporated (GISi) is partnering with the County of Roanoke, Virginia, to enhance their Esri Site Selector template. Now county staff, citizens, or professionals will be able to query and locate properties, assess potential building sites, and provide demographic information. The Site Selector application directly benefits community developers, planning analysts, real estate agents, home buyers, and property valuation administrators.
“Our relationship with Roanoke County has evolved into a true partnership. Their location technology team is very well versed with Esri technology and app configuration. The GISi team complements their team with enterprise system integration while extending the apps to meet Roanoke County specific requirements. The launch of the Site Selector Application is very exciting because it is not only one of the first production Esri Site Selector apps in the County, it is also the fourteenth public facing map/app the County has deployed to their Maps and Apps Gallery. We’re loving the momentum the County is gaining with location technology. It’s pervasive,” said Kevin Stewart, Managing Partner, GISi.
“GISi helped us implement and deploy a hybrid solution by integrating our quick search engine into the Esri Site Selector Application. They helped us bring our ideas to reality. Creating a user-friendly application, which provides access to detailed property, demographic and business information allowing users to make better business decisions. We are proud to release a high-quality product for our citizens and prospective new businesses, which would not have been possible without our partnership with GISi” David Wray, GIS Manager, Roanoke County.
Roanoke County has a dynamic real estate market. To keep pace with the market demands, they sought a more efficient way to share and analyze property data using their existing GIS infrastructure. GISi came alongside Roanoke County to provide thoughtful analysis of their requirements, enabling them to leverage their existing Esri platform, thereby making it consistent with other county applications. Roanoke County’s Site Selector solution will allow end-users to self-serve through site selection providing for accurate and up-to-date real estate information by replacing time-consuming manual processes.
